Supercurrent reversal and triplet blockade in semiconductor double quantum dots
Date/Time: 13:30 25-Aug-2021
Abstract:
Serial double quantum dots created in low dimensional semiconductor nanostructures are one of the leading solid-state platform for quantum bits using two-electron spin and charge quantum states. However, the integration of spin quantum bits with superconducting quantum circuits has proven challenging owing to the weak charge dipole coupling. In this talk, I will show our experimental demonstration of Josephson supercurrent through an InAs nanowire double quantum dot with aluminium superconducting leads. We find that using the current-phase relation in a SQUID geometry, we can assign the charge parity state and distinguish between the spin singlet and triplet ground state, which can be tuned by electrostatic gates and an external magnetic field up to around 150 mT. Our results showcase a direct spin to supercurrent conversion, which can be used for quantum information processing with hybrid superconductor-semiconductor nanodevices.
